Education: Ph.D. Massachusetts Institute of Technology, 1969 ~ M.S.M.E. Oklahoma State University, 1967 ~ B.S.M.E. Oklahoma State University, 1966

Areas of Expertise: Machine vibration and stress analysis, hydraulic pneumatic and mechanical systems design and analysis, compressible and incompressible fluid dynamics, modeling and computer simulation, and analysis of random and stochastic processes.

Background: Dr. Hullender served as a Mechanical Engineering Consultant for Foster Miller Associates, 1968-1969, and as a Project Aerosystems Engineer for General Dynamics, involved in model formulation for error analysis of inertial navigation systems. He has served as a consultant to the Vought Corporation on such subjects as air cushion suspension dynamics and error analysis of inertial navigation systems. He has extensive experience with the analysis of pile driver performance and evaluation for Raymond International. He has conducted performance and structural analyses for amusement rides for LMC, Inc., fork lifts for Pettibone, loading ramps for Bluff Welding, and construction platforms and joists for A&B Equipment. He has performed design analysis studies for hydraulic flight control systems for E-Systems and simulation of the fluid dynamics in ink jet printers for Mead Office Systems. Dr. Hullender has been a Professor at UT Arlington since 1970.
